A luxury sailing experience planned for 2025 - discover the new Four Seasons Yacht

Since it opened its first property in 1961, the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has been extending its hospitality ecosystem beyond 124 luxury hotels on the globe's most wanted travel destinations. A few years ago, it added the Four Seasons Private Jet Experience, taking wise travelers on bespoke itineraries via the brand’s own private jet. In the last two years, the retail offerings have grown even more, as fans of the label can now buy all the perks of a Four Seasons hotel room, from candles and perfumes to luxury mattresses. So, what’s next? Well, a Four Seasons yacht coming in 2025.

Christian H. Clerc, president of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts declares for Travel + Leisure that this is a natural extension of what they are doing with their hotels but this time, it will be a water experience. The work is in process and they are looking for partners as they have pressures from outside to meet a lot of expectations.

The voyage will start in 2025 and until then, the exclusive Italian shipbuilding company Fincantieri is working on the 679-foot-long yacht in Trieste. The interiors adopt a calm, residential-inspired aesthetic and will be designed by Tillberg Design of Sweden - the lead architect for the exterior design and guest suites - and Martin Brudnizki Design Studio - a London-based company that will do the public areas. The responsible for sales, marketing, and technical operations stated that the company is collaborating with experts in the field to ensure that they are going to have the best results. Besides this, all other operations are managed internally, by Four Seasons, and they are not hiring third parties.

The ship will have 95 cabins with modular partitions that can incorporate some spaces to create huge rooms, 11 restaurants, and bars, 1 spa planned with wellness treatments and fitness workouts, a multi-purpose platform that can stage shows, whether they are private parties or lectures, or even club experiences. And these features are just some of the key luxuries one can anticipate from the Four Seasons yacht. The visit will be upgraded with service, as you will experience a one-to-one staff-to-guest ratio on board. What's more, there will be a lot of space, as even the smallest room will be about 580 square feet. Each cabin will cost $4.2 million to be made. The masterpiece will be the Funnel Suite, a four-level cabin counting 9,600 square feet, with plenty of outside space, a wading pool, and a special spa zone.

What's more, it isn't all about the experience on the yacht but the entire experience will be outside of it too, as Four Seasons prepares unique, bespoke itineraries that are now being designed. The directors announced that the yacht will track the sun, cruising the Mediterranean in the summer and the Caribbean during winter. Moreover, whenever possible, the vessel will port to destinations where there is a current Four Seasons property. Given the yacht's packed size, it is predicted to stay in desirable areas where bigger ships aren't able to, such as Monaco and Venice.

Four Seasons intends to change the traditional story about itinerary-based trips, enabling guests to rather create the sailing vacation of their fantasies. This means no timeframes, no schedules, and guests can do whatever they want - there will be suggestions though. Just imagine that you want to visit Venice for example - that would be no problem, or if you prefer to stay longer in one dock and perhaps join the crew at the next stop - this is also possible. You can even stay on board and enjoy a simple vacation just tasting different culinary menus, from Japanese to Mediterranean food. The yacht is expected to be groundbreaking and offers spectacular experiences, and with intuitive service, it will surely be something that guests will forever remember: a sailing experience that doesn’t presently exist but via which travelers from all corners of the world will tour the globe and see it as it is, with the help of Four Seasons.
